We are a team of mobile music teachers offering music lessons in your home. We currently have students in various areas of the KC metro, including Brookside, Mission Hills, Prairie Village, Leawood, and Overland Park. We're all multi-instrumentalists and can teach a wide variety of instruments, including piano, guitar, ukulele, bass, drums, and vocals.
Fingerprint started in Kansas City in 2006 with founder Jacob Black teaching in-home music lessons. Fingerprint now operates in two cities— KC and Seattle.
WHAT'S YOUR MUSICAL FINGERPRINT?
Our job is to figure that out. We teach in lots of musical styles, including rock, pop, jazz, bluegrass, classical, and traditional ethnic styles, while also incorporating ear training, improvisation, and songwriting.
There are as many different types of students as there are styles of music. Learning to play can be creative and intuitive as well as logical and intellectual — there are many paths to musical success.
We'll make learning fun for you by figuring out where your musical spark is — i.e., your musical fingerprint. All of our instruction is customized to your learning style and your individual strengths.
